Although he was unable to register a sack in Sunday’s victory over the Cleveland Browns, Jason Worilds was a dominating force on the Steelers defense yesterday. One play after another, it seemed Worilds was causing some sort of havoc for the Browns. According to Pro Football Focus’ stat count, Worilds had three quarterback hurries. Jarvis Jones Released From Hospital After Spending Night UPDATED

That latest news out of Pittsburgh right now is that rookie first round pick Jarvis Jones was released from the hospital. Steelers PR guy Burt Lauten reported on Twitter that Jones was released after spending a night in a Pittsburgh hospital, but his status is unknown. Tests came back negative. High Expectations for McFadden

A season ago, Marshall McFadden was an undrafted free agent from South Carolina State. During his time with the Bulldogs, McFadden finished his college career with more than 300 tackles, 30 TFLs, 10 sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

McFadden went into the 2012 season looking to make a roster spot, although he did not earn a place on the 53 man roster, he found a spot on the practice squad. In year two, McFadden is ready to become a bigger contribution to the Steelers.  Continue reading High Expectations for McFadden

The Long Road to 53: Adrian Robinson

From Harrisburgh Pennsylvania, outside linebacker Adrian Robinson has never played football for a team outside of his home state. He chose to play for Temple University, where he would rack up a total of 23 sacks and 33 tackles for a loss, but that was not enough to get a call on draft day. He was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent.

Outside linebacker in the Steelers’ 3-4 defense is one of the most important positions on the field. Yes they are in charge of getting after the quarterback and getting sacks, but they are also required to drop back in coverage when asked upon. Maybe that’s where Adrian Robinson will struggle most.
