Poll: LaMarr Woodley or Jason Worilds?

LaMarr Woodley has been one of the best pass rushers in Steelers history. However, the Pro-Bowl linebacker has been dealing with one injury after another for the last three seasons. In the mean time, linebacker Jason Worilds is starting to become his own in Woodley’s spot on defense. With Woodley owed $18 million in 2014, who would you rather have starting for the Steelers? Jason Worilds or LaMarr Woodley?

 

A Change in Worilds

Although he was unable to register a sack in Sunday’s victory over the Cleveland Browns, Jason Worilds was a dominating force on the Steelers defense yesterday. One play after another, it seemed Worilds was causing some sort of havoc for the Browns. According to Pro Football Focus’ stat count, Worilds had three quarterback hurries. Report: Sean Spence to start Practicing Next Week; Will be Taken Off PUP

Steeler Nation, remember Sean Spence? Reports are circling around that the linebacker could be taken off of the physically unable to perform list at the end of this week and practicing next week. Spence was placed on the PUP list in the beginning of the season and could not practice until the first six weeks of the regular season have ended. The Good, The Bad and The Ugly Steelers vs. Chiefs

Steeler Nation, the Steelers have now played their third preseason game losing 26-20 in a over-time to the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Steeler starters played the whole first half and looked pretty good most of it going up 10-0 after one quarter. The Chiefs, however, would come back and tie the game by halftime.

Jarvis Jones Released From Hospital After Spending Night UPDATED

That latest news out of Pittsburgh right now is that rookie first round pick Jarvis Jones was released from the hospital. Steelers PR guy Burt Lauten reported on Twitter that Jones was released after spending a night in a Pittsburgh hospital, but his status is unknown. Tests came back negative. High Expectations for McFadden

A season ago, Marshall McFadden was an undrafted free agent from South Carolina State. During his time with the Bulldogs, McFadden finished his college career with more than 300 tackles, 30 TFLs, 10 sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

McFadden went into the 2012 season looking to make a roster spot, although he did not earn a place on the 53 man roster, he found a spot on the practice squad. In year two, McFadden is ready to become a bigger contribution to the Steelers.  Continue reading High Expectations for McFadden
