2013 was the first time the Pittsburgh Steelers did not finish top 10 in defense in a very long time. A case of injuries and lack of depth pushed the Steel-Curtain down to 13th in total defense. As a total, the Steelers defense finished with 34 sacks, 16 forced fumbles, and 10 interceptions. More News on Sean Spence


As we reported yesterday, linebacker Sean Spence will return to practice with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Wednesday. Spence has been in rehab for the last 14 months recovering from a horrific knee injury he suffered in last year’s preseason finale against the Carolina Panthers. High Expectations for McFadden


A season ago, Marshall McFadden was an undrafted free agent from South Carolina State. During his time with the Bulldogs, McFadden finished his college career with more than 300 tackles, 30 TFLs, 10 sacks, three interceptions, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

McFadden went into the 2012 season looking to make a roster spot, although he did not earn a place on the 53 man roster, he found a spot on the practice squad. In year two, McFadden is ready to become a bigger contribution to the Steelers.  Continue reading High Expectations for McFadden
