The Pittsburgh Steelers Pick S/CB Sean Davis in the Second Round

458820448The second round of the 2016 NFL draft is now finished and with the 58th overall pick the Steelers chose safety/cornerback Sean Davis out of Maryland. Davis (6-1, 202) played in 50 games,starting 40. He totaled 305 tackles over his college career. Davis is very versatile, playing safety before moving to cornerback for the 2015 season.

Steelers Sign Fourth Round Selection Shamarko Thomas

The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed their very first rookie from the 2013 NFL Draft. The Steelers signed fourth round pick Safety Shamarko Thomas, from Sryacuse. Thomas has impressed Steelers’ coaches quickly. Defensive backs coach Carnell Lake said that if Thomas was just two inches taller, then he would have been a first round selection.
