We are mid-way through July and the Pittsburgh Steelers are getting very close to reporting to Latrobe for training camp to kick off the 2017 season. The Steelers are among the favorites to make a run in the AFC and were just one game away from playing in the Super Bowl last season.
With the return of Martavis Bryant after being reinstated from the league, and the addition of rookie JuJu Smith-Schuster, the Steelers offense could be unmatched throughout the season.
It will not all be easy for the wide receivers. The team has eleven players heading into camp at the position and the battle is one of the most anticipated among the fans and media. Wide receiver’s coach Richard Mann who returned for one more season will be in charge of bringing the best out in each of these men to force head coach Mike Tomlin and general manager Kevin Colbert into tough decisions on who to let go.
The Steelers lacked a true number two wide receiver throughout the entire season a year ago, especially in the postseason. The team will make sure that will not be a problem again in 2017.
