Steelers Training Camp Preview: Quarterback

Steeler Nation, we are counting down the days until the Pittsburgh Steelers will report to Saint Vincent College for training camp to kick off the 2017 season. This season perhaps may end a little differently as the Steelers are considered one of the best in the AFC and have high aspirations of obtaining their seventh Super Bowl victory.

We know that it all starts at camp. It also starts with Steelers first string quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger. The fourteen year veteran made it public he was considering retirement over the offseason and then let the media know he would be returning.

Behind Roethlisberger is where things get a little more interesting. Landry Jones, Joshua Dobbs, and Bart Houston will fight for the remaining two jobs on the roster. Jones signed a two-year contract to remain with the Steelers over the offseason as Dobbs was drafted in the fourth round. Media and fans have already started anticipating the rise of Dobbs by beating out Jones for the second string position.

This is what camp is all about. Optimism, excitement, and hard work. The Steelers will report to camp on July 27th and the fireworks will begin the next day. Will this be the year the Steelers will get number seven?
