The Pittsburgh Steelers made it official Monday afternoon, placing running back Le’Veon Bell on the injuried reserve list with a right knee injury.
Bell left Sunday’s game early in the first half with a knee injury. Multiple reports say Bell suffered a “badly torn ” MCL along with other damage.
Bell finished his shortened 2015 season with 556 rushing yards on 113 carries and 3 touchdowns.
He also had 24 pass receptions for 136 yards.
The Steelers filled Bell’s empty roster spot by signing running back Isaiah Pead.
Pead , 25 ( 5-10 205 ) was a second round pick(50th overall) for the Rams in the 2012 NFL draft out of Cincinnati University.
Pead is now entering his fourth NFL season but has very limited NFL experience having a career total of 19 carries for 78 yards for a 4.1 yard average and no touchdowns.
He has 14 career pass receptions for 94 yards and a 6.7 yard average.
Pead also has experience returning kick having returned 18 kicks for a 22.9 yard career average.
