The injuries seem to keep piling up for the 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers announced today that they have placed starting offensive left tackle Kelvin Beachum on injured reserve .
Beachum tore his ACL during yesterday’s victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
Kelvin Beachum was a 7th round pick in the Steelers 2012 draft before becoming their starting left tackle.
He is now in the last year of his rookie contract.
OT Alejandro Villanueva replaced Beachum in yesterday’s game.
Villanueva is in his second season with the Steelers.
The Steelers also announced the signing of offensive tackle Byron Stingily. Stingily (6-5 ,318) is 27 and was drafted in the 6th round in the 2011 draft by the Tennessee Titans
He was with Tennessee from 2011 through 2014 and had 9 starts there. Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchack is familiar with Stingily,having coached for the Titans during part of Stingily stay there.
