The Pittsburgh Steelers and center Maurkice Pouncey may have received some bad news this week.
Multiple reports claim that Maurkice Pouncey has suffered a set back on the recovery of his ankle injury and now may miss the entire 2015 season.
Pouncey injured the ankle August 23 in the Steelers third preseason game and had surgery on his left fibula soon after.
The Steelers placed Pouncey on short-term injured reserve and he was eligible to return to play against the Oakland Raiders Nov. 8.
Those plans may now be in jeopardy
Reports have surfaced that he will need a second surgery because infection has set in.The new surgery could cost Pouncey the entire 2015 season.
Sources close to the team have stated that Maurkice Pouncey is seeking out a second opinion before moving forward.
The Steelers have not made an official statement on the situation .
