The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for the season opener at New England but that didn’t stop them from putting some finishing touches on their roster and filling out their Practice Squad…
The Steelers announced they have signed running back Jordan Todman, who was released by the Carolina Panthers.
Todman was a 6th round pick (183rd overall) of the San Diego Chargers in the 2011 NFL Draft.
He has a career total of 111 carries for 450 rushing yards(4.1. avg.) ,40 catches (7.9avg.) and returned 69 kickoffs (25.9 avg.).
The Steelers also claimed defensive end Caushaud Lyons from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
To make room for these two transaction the Steelers released cornerback Doran Grant and linebacker Anthony Chickillo.
The Steelers signed 10 players to their Practice Squad,signing running back Dominique Brown, defensive back Jordan Dangerfield, offensive linemen Reese Dismukes and Antonio Johnson, linebackers L.J. Fort and Shayon Green, defensive end Ethan Hemer, wide receivers Shakim Phillips and Jarrod West, and tight end Harold Spears.
