Steelers Trade Punter Brad Wing To The Giants

brad wingThe preseason has just ended and NFL teams are making moves to get their rosters down to 53 before the September 5 deadline at 4 p.m. The Steelers did some wheeling and dealing of their own.

The Pittsburgh Steelers announced that they have traded punter Brad Wing to the New York Giants for a conditional seventh-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft.

Wing 24,signed with the Steelers in January 2014 and made the final roster. He averaged 43.7 yards a punt ranking 29th in the league and had a 38.8 net average in 2014

He was in a tight training camp battle with punter Jordan Berry with both punters performing well this preseason.

Jordan Berry will now be the Pittsburgh Steelers punter for the 2015 season.
