The Pittsburgh Steelers wasted little time finding a replacement for injured veteran kicker Shaun Suisham. The team announced that they have signed veteran kicker Garrett Hartley.
Hartly 29, originally signed with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted rookie free agent in 2008, out of the University of Oklahoma but ended up with the New Orleans Saints from 2008 through 2013. He played two games for the Cleveland Browns in 2014.
Hartley has made 85-of-104 field goal attempts and 178-of-179 point after attempts.He has a career made field goal percentage of 81.7%.
Hartley has played in four playoff games, making all eight field goal attempts and all 15 point after attempts. He will wear No. 8 for the Steelers.
The Steelers placed quarterback/wide receiver Devin Gardner on the Waived/Injured List to make room for Hartley.
