The Pittsburgh Steelers played their first preseason game Sunday night and they also have lost their first major player to a significant injury. Kicker Shaun Suisham made a tackle in the second half of Sunday nights game and injured his knee.
After the game head coach Mike Tomlin called the injury to Suisham “potentially significant”.
Today, Steelers beat reporter Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette confirmed that the injury was significant and Suisham will have surgery to repair a torn ACL.

The loss of Suisham may be trouble,as he is arguably the most accurate kicker to kick at Heinz Field , a stadium that has been brutal for a lot of kickers in the past.
Suisham 33, has made more than 90 percent of his field goals in three consecutive seasons.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are now on the search for a new kicker for the 2015 season.
