GM Kevin Colbert & Steelers Agree on Two Year Contract Extension

colbert 2The Pittsburgh Steelers are about to begin 2015 training camp and have now announced a second contract extension.

The Steelers announced today that GM Kevin Colbert has agreed to a two year contract extension keeping him with the team through the 2018 season.

Colbert is entering his 16th season with the Steelers having joined the team in 2000.

Colbert has led the Steelers to two Super Bowl Championships , 3 AFC  Championships, 7 AFC North Division titles , 9 playoff berths and 11 winning campaigns.

Kevin Colbert :“I am truly grateful to Art and Mr. Rooney for the opportunity to continue my career with the Pittsburgh Steelers,it is with great anticipation that we enter into the 2015 season in pursuit of another Super Bowl championship.”

“I am happy to announce that we have extended Kevin Colbert’s contract for two additional years,Kevin’s work and footprint on our football operations have been a key factor in our success. We are excited Kevin will continue to lead our personnel department for at least the next three years.”
