Its night two of the NFL Draft and the Pittsburgh Steelers have made their pick.

In round two with the 56th overall pick the Steelers chose cornerback Senquez Golson of Ole Miss.

Golson 5-9 176  was a unanimous first-team All-American and first-team All-SEC selection in 2014. He led the SEC and tied the team record with ten interceptions.

Golson had 16 career interceptions which led the nation in 2014 and he was a three year starter.

Senquez Golson runs a 4.46 in the 40,has great football instincts and is a ball hawk who makes the tough interceptions look easy. His lack of ideal size may be his only drawback.

Mike Mayock:“Golson is a corner who is only 5-foot-8 and 176 pounds, but what separates him is his ball skills. He played minor league baseball. The question is, how much does size matter? Golson is one of the best pure zone corners I’ve seen.”

The Steelers went into the draft looking for big time defensive play makers and they may have found one in Senquez Golson .
