Steelers WR Antonio Brown Wants A New Deal?

abrownWell, the Steelers off-season just got a little more interesting.

Reporter Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports has reported that Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown will not be attending off-season workouts with the team and may skip mandatory workouts, including training camp.

It’s thought that Brown and his agent want a new contract and may be willing to hold out if necessary.

Brown signed a six-year, $43 million deal with the Steelers in  2012 and has three years remaining on his contract.

Antonio Brown led the NFL in receiving in 2014 with 129 receptions,1698 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns. The 129 catches were second on the NFL all time list. Brown was selected to the Pro Bowl and named an All Pro.

Time will tell if this is a wise move by Brown and his agent, but history has shown the Pittsburgh Steelers have not responded well to player holdouts in the past. Maybe,Brown and his agent should give Franco Harris a call.

One thing for sure, the off-season is just about to heat up!
