The Pittsburgh Steelers have now lost their first free agent. Corneback Brice McCain was signed by the Miami Dolphins to a two year contract. The deal is reportedly worth 5.5 million with 3 million in guaranteed money according to Mike Garafolo of Fox Sports
The Steelers had been hoping to sign McCain and reportedly had a three year deal on the table but in the end McCain chose the Dolphins.
McCain was signed by the Steelers as a free agent in 2014. He started 9 games and intercepting 3 passes, returning one for a touchdown.
Now with the loss of Brice McCain the Steelers most likely will be on the hunt for a veteran free agent cornerback to add to what was already a depleted position of concern.
