Should The Steelers Try To Deal For Keenan Lewis?

KLSteeler Nation , the free agency period is in full swing and wow has their been a lot of action so far!

Players have been switching teams all over the place and surprisingly even a few trades have taken place.

One of the biggest trades of the day was when the cap strapped New Orleans Saints traded their All Pro tight end Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks .

This and other moves by the Saints brass has caused cornerback Keenan Lewis to become fustrated with the team and its efforts to keep their key players .

Shortly after the Graham trade was announced Lewis posted a message to his Instagram stating…

Keenan Lewis:” I think it’s time for me to take my talent somewhere else, New Orleans it has been good”

Lewis later was interviewed by ESPN reporter Mike Triplett and said he is not happy that the team is being broken apart and wants the rest of his contract ( the next 3 years) guaranteed or he won’t show up for OTA workouts this season and threatened a hold out.

Triplett later tweeted this tweet…

On top of everything else, just heard from CB Keenan Lewis, says he wants team to guarantee final three years of deal or let him go.

Lewis was drafted by the Steelers in the third round in 2009 and spent his first four NFL seasons in Pittsburgh before joining the Saints via free agency in 2013.

So is it possible that the Steelers would swing a deal with the Saints for CB Keenan Lewis?

Are the Saints even willing to deal Lewis?

All of this is just food for thought right now but something to think about none the less.

What do you think Steeler Nation?
