James Harrison Coming Out Of Retirement To Rejoin Steelers?

James HWell Steeler Nation, it looks as though James Harrison’s retirement may be a short one. Sunday night the Steelers won the game against the Carolina Panthers (37-19) but lost a few key starters on defense including starting outside linebacker Jarvis Jones with a dislocated wrist. Early reports say that the Steelers will place Jones on the IR/designated for return and he will be out for at least 8 weeks. The Steelers are now a little thin at the outside linebacker position.

Reports are surfacing that former and recently retired outside linebacker James Harrison will meet with the Steelers as early as Tuesday about a possible return.

Harrison played 10 seasons with the Steelers and 11 in the NFL. He was voted to five consecutive Pro Bowls 2007-2011 and was named Steelers team MVP in 2007 and 2008.

The will be signing their own former star LB James Harrison over the next few days, I’m told.

LB James Harrison scheduled to meet Tuesday with Steelers coaches. Assuming it goes well, he signs with PITT.
