Steelers N Stuff’s Picks of the Week: Week 2 2014

SNSpicsSteeler Nation, week one is now in the books as the Steelers are 1-0 heading into tonight’s prime-time match up at Baltimore against the Ravens . Each week the writers of Steelers N Stuff will give you their picks of the week against the spread. Now remember, these picks are for amusement purposes ONLY. Do not try these picks at home they are made by trained professionals.

Season Record  W-L-T     Steve 2-2-0    Brandon 3-1-0

Steve’s Picks…

$$$$ Steelers +2.5 over the Ravens … The Steelers should have the upper hand as Baltimore has been trying to deal with all the Rice turmoil and outside distractions that came with it . Ben Roethlisberger will be the difference as he once again out duels a shaky Joe Flacco.

$$$ Packers -8.5 over the Jets…. The Packers are coming off an opening week loss to Seattle. Look for QB Aaron Rodgers and the Packers to bounce back big this week at Lambeau Field against the Jets and inexperienced QB Geno Smith.

$$  Saints -6.5 over the Browns … Saints and Drew Brees come into Cleveland looking to rebound and should have no problems getting the job done .

$ Falcons  +5  over the Bengals…. QB Matt Ryan has his full cast of weapons healthy this season and should be able to keep this one close against questionable Bengals defense.

Brandon’s picks of the week…

$$$$ Jaguars +6 over the Redskins… After watching the Redskins struggle to create any offense last week against the Texans, I am convinced this game will be closer than the spread. Look for the Jaguars to keep it close and possibly pull off the upset!

$$$ Steelers +2.5 over the Ravens… In my eyes, this is still the biggest rivalry in football. The Steelers will pull this one off and build from last week.

$$ Cardinals pk over the Giants… After watching both teams last Monday night, it looks like both teams are going opposite directions from each other. That is the Cardinals are going up and the Giants are going down. I like the Cardinals in this one.

$ Bears +7 over the 49ers… The 49ers did not look like the 49ers of the past even if they did get the win over the Cowboys. I expect to see the Bears bounce back after taking a loss in week one.
