SNSpicsSteeler Nation, week one of the 2014 NFL season finally kicks off tonight! Now remember, these picks are for amusement purposes ONLY. Do not try these picks at home they are made by trained professionals.

Season Record  W-L-T     Steve 0-0-0    Brandon 0-0-0

Steve’s Picks…

$$$$ Steelers -7 over the Browns… QB Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers kick off the season at home against the Cleveland Browns. Roethlisberger has a great record against the Browns (17-1 all time 9-0 at home). I look for that trend to continue Sunday as the Steelers take advantage of the Browns with their star wide reliever Josh Gordon suspended for the season.. The Steelers should roll.

$$$ Packers +6 over the Seahawks .. QB Aaron Rodgers takes on the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks and the“Legion of Boom” in Seattle to kick off the 2014 season. I think Rogers and the Packers keep it close as Seattle may have a bit of a Super Bowl hangover.

$$ Eagles -10 over the Jaguars … Eagles are at home and have a year of experience under head coach Chip Kelly’s high powered fast paced offense. Look for the Jaguars to fall behind early as the Eagles soar.

$ Chargers +3.5 over the Cardinals… The Arizona Cardinals defense has suffered a few losses since 2013. Look for QB Philip Rivers and WRs Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd to keep this one very close and it would not surprise me if they pull off the upset.

Brandon’s picks of the week…

$$$$ Seahawks -6 over the Packers… I am going against what my colleague says on this game! I believe this Seahawks team is still the toughest team in the NFL at this point. Russell Wilson is entering his third season and must play great this season for a big contract like the rest of the franchise quarterbacks. Not to mention, the Seahawks defense packs a punch.

$$$ Bengals -2 over the Ravens… The Bengals team are going on the road to play a in a rough environment at M&T Bank Stadium. However, I believe Andy Dalton and the Bengals offense outshines Joe Flacco with ease. The Bengals begin the season picking up where they left off.

$$ Panthers +3 over the Buccaneers… Another road team here, but how can you go wrong with Cam Newton and the reigning defensive MVP, Luke Kuechley. The Panthers go into Tampa and get the win.

$ Chiefs -3 over the Titans… Last season, head coach Andy Reid stepped into Kansas City and changed the atmosphere, while the Titans are still trying to find who they are under new coach Ken Whisehunt. Jamaal Charles and the Chiefs run wild on Sunday.
