<> Head Coach Mike Tomlin spoke about the injury report after practice…
Mike Tomlin:“We got some guys working themselves back into participation in different forms or fashion. (Ryan) Shazier worked today in a limited capacity. We had some guys that had some bumps and bruises from the game we wanted to take care of, nothing major (with) Matt Spaeth(and) Mike Mitchell. But again we expect those guys to be back out here tomorrow. Michael Palmer is dealing with an ankle injury.Justin Brown was limited today. He’s got a little thumb injury.
“We’ll monitor those guys, but overall from a health standpoint we’re doing pretty good, and we need to because we need to
put a good exclamation point on the remaining work here in Latrobe.”
<> The Steelers had no live tackling in today’s practice.
<> Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is having a great camp, showing good accuracy and crisp passes. His arm looks as strong as ever and he has shown excellent command of the offense and the young players around him.
<> Wide receiver Markus Wheaton had another good practice hauling in two touchdowns in the receiver/defensive back drills. Wheaton is on the fast track to locking down that number two wide receiver spot.
<> Wide receiver /running back Dri Archer had another big play in practice. At this point this is a daily occurrence .
<>Nose tackle Daniel McCullers continues to make positive waves at practice. The big man is making a serious push for a roster spot.
<> The Steelers have waived RB Jawan Jamison giving them an open camp roster spot. Who might they sign to fill that spot the last days of camp?
