The Pittsburgh Steelers, now have signed all nine of their 2014 NFL draft class. The Steelers announced today the signing of second round draft pick defensive end Stephon Tuitt to a four year contract. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Tuitt (6-5 303) out of Notre Dame started 29 of 35 games ,26 at left defensive end during his Notre Dame career totaling 127 tackles (59 solos), 21.5 sacks for minus 163 yards, 25.0 stops for losses of 176 yards and 27 quarter-back pressures. He forced four fumbles and recovered another that he advanced 77 yards for a touchdown. Tuitt totaled four pass deflections and intercepted another in the end zone for a score. He also blocked one kick.
The Steelers will finish up their Mini Camp Thursday and will open their 2014 training camp at Saint Vincent College on Friday, July 25.
