Steeler Nation , it looks as though the Steelers are still exploring the free agent market despite being very close to their cap limit.Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported Tuesday that the Steelers have scheduled a visit with veteran wide reciever Darrius Heyward-Bey this Wednesday.
Heyward-Bey 27, 6-2 219 was selected by the Oakland Raiders as the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL draft out of Maryland. He spent four seasons with the Raiders totaling 140 receptions , 2071 yards and 11 receiving touchdowns in that time.
Heyward-Bey was released by the Raiders on March 13, 2013. He signed a one-year deal worth up to $3 million with the Indianapolis Colts on April 1, 2013

Heyward-Bey has a career total of 64 starts,169 receptions for 2380 yards 12 touchdown receptions and a 14.1 yard average per catch.
On the plus side Darrius Heyward-Bey has great speed running a 4.3 40 at the 2009 NFL combine. On the negative side Heyward-Bey has questionable hands and has dropped his fair share of passes.
