Steelers Awarded Three Compensatory Picks

LOCKER Today, at the NFL Owners’ Meetings, the NFL announced the Pittsburgh Steelers will receive three compensatory picks for the 2014 NFL Draft, for their free agent losses and pick-ups in 2013.

The Steelers will receive a third-round pick, the 33rd in the round and the 97th pick overall of the 2014 NFL draft . In addition the Steelers also received a fifth-round pick, the 33rd in the round and the 173rd pick overall; and a sixth-round pick, the 39th in the round and the 215th pick overall.

The rewarded picks were based on the Steelers loss of free agents in 2013- WR Mike Wallace, CB Keenan Lewis, RB Rashard Mendenhall, SS Ryan Munday and FS Will Allen
compared to free agents signed in 2013-  QB Bruce Gradkowski
