Steelers Re-Sign Guy Whimper To One Year Deal

imagesThe Steelers continue to sign players , if for no other reason but to add some depth. The Pittsburgh Steelers announced today the re-signing of veteran offensive lineman Guy Whimper .

Whimper joined the Steelers at the beginning of 2013 and played in 11 games last season, making two starts, one at left guard and right guard. He saw playing time at all offensive line positions but center.

Guy Whimper has started 24 of 78 games during his playing career. He was drafted by the New York Giants in round four of the 2006 NFL Draft out of East Carolina.

The signing of Guy Whimper should not cause much of a  salary cap hit and gives the Steelers some added depth possibilities at a few offensive line positions.
