The Pittsburgh Steelers are moving forward with plans to add a second video scoreboard to the North end of Heinz Field.
Art Rooney II stated in many media outlets yesterday that the Steelers are moving forward with plans for the scoreboard despite still being in negotiations with the city over who is responsible for cost of such improvements to the stadium.
The Steelers have been in negotiations with the Pittsburgh-Allegheny County Sports & Exhibition Authority on funding for improvements to Heinz Field.
The Steelers also would like to add 3000 more seats and other improvements but are still in a court battle over who is responsible for cost of such improvements.
The Steelers filed an lawsuit against the SEA in 2012 over the $30 million seat expansion, the scoreboard addition and the installation of a new control room at Heinz Field.
The seating project is still on hold and an agreement probably wont be reached in time for the 2014 season.
