Well the Pittsburgh Steelers have suffered from more bad news after their close loss to the Baltimore Ravens last Thursday night. The Steelers placed center Fernando Velasko on injured reserve after he went down with an achilles injury in the 4th quarter. Velasko was signed by the Steelers on September 9th, after Maurkice Pouncey went down with a knee in the first game of the season.
In an effort to move forward, the Steelers signed two offensive lineman on Saturday and released defensive back DeMarcus Van Dyke. The Steelers signed tackle Rashad Butler, an eight year veteran originally drafted by the Panthers in 2006, and center Eric Olsen, who was drafted in 2010 by the Saints.
