Report: Sean Spence to start Practicing Next Week; Will be Taken Off PUP

Steeler Nation, remember Sean Spence? Reports are circling around that the linebacker could be taken off of the physically unable to perform list at the end of this week and practicing next week. Spence was placed on the PUP list in the beginning of the season and could not practice until the first six weeks of the regular season have ended.

According to Mark Kaboly of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, in an interview on the David Todd Show on Friday, Spence will begin practicing next week. Spence missed his entire rookie season a year ago after suffering from a brutal knee injury that caused nerve damage.

Interesting news from @MarkKaboly_Trib saying Sean Spence WILL come off the PUP and practice next Wednesday here on @970espn.

“He is going to practice Wednesday,” said Kaboly of Spence. “They have three weeks to be able to activate him.”

Back in May, Spence said that he plans on playing by mid-season. The second-year inside linebacker may have been right as the middle of the 2013 season is drawing nearer and the Steelers are still looking for their first win. We will continue to report as we hear more news!
