Steeler Nation, its been a long disappointing first three weeks of the season . Starting with the week one losses of All Pro center Maurkice Pouncey and inside linebacker Larry Foote for the season . It has seemed like the Steelers just can not catch a break in a season where depth has been an issue.
Week 4 may change all of that as the long awaited debut of rookie running back Le’Veon Bell seems to be on the horizon . Bell has been out since the second pre-season game with a rare mid foot sprain that’s being classified as a Lisfranc injury.
Bell’s return, added to a healthy Heath Miller could serve as a much needed shot in the arm to a running game that has struggled through three games.
On the defensive side of the ball starting cornerback Cortez Allen makes his return after an ankle injury in week one. Cortez Allen caused five turnovers – two interceptions and three forced fumbles, after starting the last two games of 2012. Allen’s big play-making ability could boost a Steelers defense that has not caused a turnover through three games.
The fact that the Steelers are the healthiest that they have been all season and that they are facing an opponent that has a fair share of their own problems ( Minnesota Vikings 0-3) may be just what the doctor ordered for the Steelers to end this losing streak.
