That latest news out of Pittsburgh right now is that rookie first round pick Jarvis Jones was released from the hospital. Steelers PR guy Burt Lauten reported on Twitter that Jones was released after spending a night in a Pittsburgh hospital, but his status is unknown. Tests came back negative.
To my understanding, Jones has suffered from some sort of internal bruising. Jones was able to get off the field under his own power in Staturday night’s loss against the Kansas City Chiefs. After the game, the medical staff examined Jones. Jones was then taken to the hospital for further inspection. Jones left the stadium on a stretcher.
Jones, the 17th overall pick from Georgia, was having a noticeable preseason with his talent to get around the ball. Jones has forced and recovered a fumble this preseason. On the play Jones was injured, he was running back what was an almost interception that was called back due to pass interference.
Steelers N Stuff will keep looking for the latest on Jarvis Jones. Once we get any more news, we will be sure to post it! Make sure to keep checking back in. Remember to follow us on Twitter – @STEELERSNSTUFF & @NFLNSTUFF. Also, Like our page on Facebook.
