Week two of OTA’s is scheduled to kick off on Tuesday for the Steelers and will continue through Thursday. In week one of the practice, it was almost full attendance for the Steelers minus wide receiver Markus Wheaton, tight end Heath Miller, and linebacker Sean Spence. Will the attendance be the same in week two of OTA’s? Here are some things that I am looking forward to seeing as practice continues this week.
How is Jarvis Jones? First round rookie linebacker Jarvis Jones has a hamstring injury that he suffered at his pro day while running the 40 yard dash. Jones was bothered by it again last week and coaches made him sit out some of practice.
How will the offensive line look? Last week, the Steelers placed Marcus Gilbert at left tackle while Mike Adams was at right. Since then, that is how it has stayed. Will coaches move the two lineman around?
Isaac Redman is reportedly in great shape. David Todd of ESPN Radio says the 10 pounds Redman lost looks like 20. I feel that is beneficial to him to keep his job as a Steeler. There is a lot of talk about a possible battle between Redman and Jonathan Dwyer to keep a roster spot.
Lastly, how will the rookies progress from minicamp, and now to the second week with the full team. Remember cornerback Terry Hawthorne will be out until training camp because of a minor knee procedure. How will the other rookies look is something I am really interested in.
