Steelers Get $5.5 Million on June 1st

Steeler Nation, tomorrow marks a very important date on the calender for the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers will be getting back $5.5 million from releasing offensive guard Willie Colon in March. What Does LaRod Stephens-Howling Bring to the Table?

LaRod Stephens-Howling is a fifth year running back who is very familiar with Heinz Field. Stephens-Howling played for the the Pittsburgh Panthers at the collegiate level, and played every home game in Heinz Field. During his time at Pitt, Stephens-Howling ran for 1,959 yards and 15 touchdowns, on top of 454 receiving yards, one receiving touchdown, and one kick return touchdown.

The Arizona Cardinals drafted Stephens-Howling in the 7th round of the 2009 draft. In his four seasons with the Cardinals, Stephens-Howling has played in 57 games and has recorded 5 rushing touchdowns, 3 receiving touchdowns, and 3 kick return touchdowns. Young Offensive Line is Confident

It was 1959 the last time the Pittsburgh Steelers had an offensive line as young and inexperienced as they do now. The average age for the five assumed starters (Gilbert, Foster, Pouncey, DeCastro, Adams) is just 24 years of age. A group of players who have just 114 starts combined, and 87 of them alone are from All-Pro center Maurkice Pouncey (45) and left guard Ramon Foster(42).
